Nationality Certificate (Gensia )
Requirements:
- Filled out application form
- 2 Photographs
- Copy of Birth Certificate or any documents to prove Sudanese origin
- Copy of Parents Nationality Certificate
- If added to the Mother’s passport, please furnish the embassy with a copy of the passport
- Proof of presence in the U.S. (Copy of Green Card or Travel Document)
- Fee is $62.00
The Embassy will send the forms to the Ministry of Interior in Sudan
The applicant must come to the Embassy for Finger Printing once the Embassy received the preliminary approval from Sudan.
Important Note:
Applicants sending their applications by mail must furnish the Embassy with a return envelope with tracking no. (postage/shipment paid by the applicant) using one of the services listed below. Failure to send one may cause delay in the return of the document (s).

- All payments must be payable to Embassy of Sudan.
The normal processing time for Nationality Certificate may take at least three (3) months. Please allow sufficient time to process Adding a child applications.
