If your passport is not valid 6 months beyond your intended stay, you must renew your passport and then we will secure your visa with the new passport.

Please send a copy of your round trip airline tickets, or itinerary or e-ticket, or letter of confirmation from a travel agent. The itinerary must show the applicant's name, date of arrival and departure from the country, and flight information. The Embassy does not recommend purchasing your ticket prior to a visa being issued.

 

 

Vaccinations - International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever required (except for minors age under 1 year).

 

 

A copy of the applicant's recent bank statement or evidence of adequate finance, such as a letter from a bank, or money market statement. It is advisable to erase account numbers.

 

 

A copy of your hotel confirmation or letter of invitation froms friends or relatives in Bolivia.
A letter of invitation must indicate host address.

The Bolivian Tourist Visa will be valid for five (5) years since the date of issue and will permit entrance to Bolivia for a total of ninety (90) days each year.

A Bolivian tourist visa holder will be able to use it for three (3) times in one (1) year for a total of ninety (90) days.

Only in very special cases will the Bolivian immigration authorities extend the period of permanency over ninety (90) days.

US minors traveling alone, must hold a travel authorization from absent parent(s)/guardian(s). Translation into Spanish recommended.

Your application will be hand carried to the Embassy, and is usually processed in 5 business days.
