REQUIREMENTS FOR NON-U.S. CITIZENS TO OBTAIN A VISA TO ENTER CAMEROON



Passport

Please send TDS your current valid and signed passport. It must not expire within 6 months and must have at least one blank visa page. If your passport expires within 6 months, you must renew your passport and then we will secure your visa with the new passport.

 

Photo

Please send 2 recent professional passport-type photographs.
Digital and non-passport photographs are not acceptable.

 

 

Proof of US Status

Photocopy of Alien Registration Card (Green Card) -or- evidence of legal status in USA (valid visa plus I-94 in passport)

 

 

Proof of Departure

Please send a copy of your round trip airline tickets, or itinerary or e-ticket, or letter of confirmation from a travel agent. The itinerary must show the applicant's name, date of arrival and departure from the country, and flight information. The Embassy does not recommend purchasing your ticket prior to a visa being issued.

 

 

Vaccinations

Vaccinations - International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever required.

 

 

 

Bank Statement (Tourist & Visitor)

A copy of the applicant's recent bank statement or evidence of adequate finance, such as a letter from a bank, or money market statement. It is advisable to erase account numbers.

 

 

Visitor Visa

For Visitors: (Visiting Family or Friends in Cameroon)

(1) Certificate of accommodation issued by the inviting party, and undersigned by Administrative or
Immigration authorities or local police Department.

(2) Copy of round-trip tickets or airlines or travel agency receipt bearing the traveler’s name.

 

 

Student Visa

For students:

(1) Acceptation letter from a recognized school in Cameroon.

(2) Letter from US school acknowledging the student’s trip to Cameroon and eventually guaranteeing financial and legal responsibilities for the student while in Cameroon.

Minors

MINORS TRAVELING TO CAMEROON:

For minors, in addition to the aforementioned requirements, the following documents are also needed:

A) Notarized letter of support jointly signed by both parents or legal guardians agreeing with the trip and specifying who will be traveling with the child.

B) If parents or guardians are Cameroonians, provide original passport(s) and copy of immigration document(s) attesting of their residency status in the U.S. (e.g. green card, I-20 form for students, any set of documents justifying that a procedure of adjustment of status is in progress…).

C) If parents or guardians are not Cameroonians, provide copy of passport pages bearing photo and validity information.

D) This applies to any third party taking a child to Cameroon on behalf of the parents.

 

Additional Helpful Information

The Cameroon tourist visa is valid for multiple entries within 60 days from the date issued, for a stays up to 30 days.

U.S. citizens born in Cameroon or of Cameroonian origin do not need to provide a certificate of accommodation.

When issued, a visa must be used within 90 days, i.e. the recipient must enter Cameroon within that time frame.

Longer periods of stay may be granted to applicants applying for Social Visit visas. The multiple visa is issued only at the discretion of the Consulate.

Passport must have at least six months remaining validity and contain at least one blank visa page for visa to be issued.

Your application will be hand carried to the Embassy, and is usually processed in 5-7 business days.
