REQUIREMENTS FOR NON-U.S. CITIZENS TO OBTAIN A VISA TO ENTER ANGOLA
Passport
Please send TDS your current valid and signed passport. It must not expire within 6 months and must have at least one blank visa page. If your passport expires within 6 months, you must renew your passport and then we will secure your visa with the new passport.
Photo
Please send 2 recent professional passport-type photographs.
Digital and non-passport photographs are not acceptable.
Proof of US Status
Photocopy of Alien Registration Card (Green Card) -or- evidence of legal status in USA (valid visa plus I-94 in passport)
Proof of Departure
Please send a copy of your round trip airline tickets, or itinerary or e-ticket, or letter of confirmation from a travel agent. The itinerary must show the applicant's name, date of arrival and departure from the country, and flight information. The Embassy does not recommend purchasing your ticket prior to a visa being issued.
Bank Statement (Tourist Visa only)
Proof or sufficient funds for support (US$100 per day); either a copy of a recent bank statement or business letter of guarantee (Sample) from employer.
Invitation (Tourist Visa only)
Letter of invitation from a citizen/resident in Angola. The invitation may be original, fax. or email, but should show origin. The letter MUST be addressed to SECTOR CONSULAR DA EMBAIXADA DA REPÚBLICA DE ANGOLA EM WASHINGTON, D.C.
Business Letter (Business Visa only)
A business letter of responsibility (sample) is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:
Embassy of Angola, Visa Section, Washington DC
The letter must explain all of the following:
Nature of business to be performed
Name and address of reference to be visited
This letter should request Multiple Entries visa if required
Guarantee of return transportation and sufficient funds for the visit
The letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.

Additional Helpful Information
Visa Requirements, processing times, validity of the visa, and Embassy visa fees are subject to change without prior notice.
The Embassy of Angola advises travelers of the following: "The Consular Office of the Embassy of Angola has the right to request additional documents if necessary."
Passport must have at least six months remaining validity and contain at least one blank visa page for visa to be issued.
Your application will be checked and hand carried to the Embassy and is usually processed in 10 business days for oil related business travel, or 4-8 weeks for most other purposes .
