REQUIREMENTS FOR NON U.S. CITIZENS TO OBTAIN A VISA TO ENTER BELARUS
Passport
Please send TDS your current valid and signed passport. Passport must be valid at least 3 months beyond intended stay and must have at least one blank visa page. If your passport is not valid at least 3 months beyond intended stay, you must renew your passport and then we will secure your visa with the new passport.
Photo
Please send 1 recent professional passport-type photograph.
Digital and non-passport photographs are not acceptable.
Proof of Departure
Please send a copy of your round trip airline tickets, or itinerary or e-ticket, or letter of confirmation from a travel agent. The itinerary must show the applicant's name, date of arrival and departure from the country, and flight information. The Embassy does not recommend purchasing your ticket prior to a visa being issued.
Proof of US Status
Photocopy of Alien Registration Card (Green Card) -or- evidence of legal status in USA (valid visa plus I-94 in passport)
Invitation
An original or a copy of a letter of invitation from an agency, company or organization in the Republic of Belarus, which is registered as a legal entity by the Belarusian authorities. A letter of invitation should be printed on the official letterhead with a registration number, date of issue, and should bear the signature of an official and a corporate seal. It should also indicate the expected duration of the applicant's stay in Belarus. An inviting party must provide written guarantees that an invitee will abide by the rules and regulations applied to foreign citizens in the Republic of Belarus.

Multiple Entry Visa
Multi Entry Visa: Multiple-entry long-term (type D) business visa requires confirmation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

If you formerly had USSR or Belarusian citizenship, please submit the documents proving the loss of USSR/Belarusian citizenship.

Additional Helpful Information
Medical insurance is required for all foreign citizens traveling to the Republic of Belarus. This medical insurance can be obtained upon arrival at airport and border entry points. More information
The above visa requirements apply to the Belarus Embassy in Washington, DC.
Transit visas are required for all travelers heading to or from Russia or other New Independent States via Belarus (even if the traveler has valid Russian visa or visa of other NIS state)
The Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus has introduced a simplified procedure of obtaining Belarusian guest and business visas by the citizens of Argentina, Bulgaria, Brazil, Great Britain, Hungary, Canada, Slovakia, Uruguay, Chile, Switzerland, South Korea, South African Republic and Japan. Starting from the August 1, 2003 the citizens of the abovementioned states will not need invitations to obtain a visa valid for up to 30 days in Belarusian diplomatic mission abroad. This category if visitors will only need to present a passport, completed application form and a photograph.
Your application will be hand carried to the Embassy, normal processing time is usually 5-6 business days.
