REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO OBTAIN A VISA TO ENTER LIBERIA



Passport

Please send TDS your current valid and signed passport. It must not expire within 6 months and must have at least one blank visa page. If you do not have any blank visa pages in your passport, TDS can assist you in applying for additional pages. If your passport expires within 6 months, you must renew your passport and then we will secure your visa with the new passport.

 

Photo

Please send 2 recent professional passport-type photographs.
Digital and non-passport photographs are not acceptable.

 

 

Proof of Departure

Please send a copy of your round trip airline tickets, or itinerary or e-ticket, or letter of confirmation from a travel agent. The itinerary must show the applicant's name, date of arrival and departure from the country, and flight information. The Embassy does not recommend purchasing your ticket prior to a visa being issued.

 

 

Business Letter

A business letter of responsibility (sample) is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:
Embassy of Liberia, Visa Section, Washington DC
The letter must explain all of the following:
Nature of business to be performed
Name and address of reference to be visited
This letter should request Multiple Entries visa if required
Guarantee of return transportation and sufficient funds for the visit
The letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.

Additional Helpful Information

The Liberia  business visa is usually valid for a single entry within three months, or multiple entries within one year from date issued, each stay not to exceed 30 days.

Passport must have at least six months remaining validity and contain at least one blank visa page for visa to be issued. TDS can assist with obtaining U.S. Passports, whether new issue, renewal, or obtaining additional visa pages for a valid passport.

Your application will be hand carried to the Embassy. Each application must be approved by the Government of Liberia, and is usually processed in 10-12 days.
