Air Astana (airline code “KC”), the fast growing national carrier of Kazakhstan, began participation in the US Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) in late July 2007. By joining this airline industry settlement system, all 22,100 ARC accredited travel agents across America can issue Air Astana tickets to/from the USA to Kazakhstan and beyond – whether travelling transatlantic or transpacific.
Air Astana, though not flying to the United States as yet, has an extensive network of air services operated in conjunction with partner airlines from cities such as New York, Washington, Los Angeles, Denver, Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, and Miami. This network connects the Air Astana hubs of Almaty, Astana, and Atyrau through numerous European, Asian and Middle-Eastern Gateways, including London Heathrow, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Hanover, Moscow, Bangkok, Seoul, Beijing, Delhi and Dubai.
Air Astana has extensive reciprocal ticketing agreements, allowing you to combine it’s services with more than 70 of the world’s finest airlines, including Lufthansa, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Northwest Airlines, United Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Asiana Airlines and Aeroflot.

Air Astana’s Current Fleet and Plans for the Future
The Air Astana fleet consists of 18 Boeing 767s, Boeing 757s, Airbus A320s, Airbus A321 and Fokker-50 aircraft. Air Astana has plans to increase its fleet size to a total of 34 aircraft by 2014.
The average age of Air Astana’s jet fleet is only six (6) years.
Boeing 767-300ER
The Boeing 767-300ER is a “wide-body” extended range aircraft. It has two GE CF6-80C2 engines each producing up to over 27 tons of thrust and can fly up to 10,550 miles at approximately 900 km/h. It can carry more than 15 tons of cargo payload. The cabin is configured with 30 business class seats with individual in-flight entertainment units (LCD screens), and 190 economy seats.The Boeing 767 services long range international routes.
Boeing 757-200
The Boeing 757-200 incorporates advanced technology for exceptional fuel efficiency, low noise levels, increased passenger comfort, and top operating performance. It can fly both long and short range routes and is powered by two very powerful and reliable Rolls-Royce RB211 jet engines. The cabin is configured with 20 business class seats and 150 economy seats. The Air Astana Boeing 757s are fitted with both video and audio in flight entertainment systems.
These aircraft operate on both long and medium range international routes and domestic trunk routes
Airbus A320/A321 series
Air Astana is the first and only airline in Kazakhstan to use the Airbus A320/A321. The A320 aircraft is very environmentally friendly and has the lowest fuel burn, levels of emissions and noise footprint of its class. The A320 employs the latest cockpit and avionics technology and is the fastest selling aircraft in the world today.
With the addition of the A320 and the larger version A321 to its fleet, Air Astana is increasing the frequency of its international and jet operated domestic routes.
Fokker-50
The Fokker-50 is a twin turbo-propeller powered aircraft offering a quiet comfortable passenger cabin. The Air Astana Fokker-50 operates on domestic routes within Kazakhstan, connecting regional centers with the cities of Astana and Almaty, as well as providing feeder services to Air Astana’s international and domestic trunk routes.
Meals/Catering
Air Astana menus are developed by the resident catering staff in conjunction with their catering contractors in Kazakhstan and through-out the world.
Air Astana optimizes the resources of its catering contractors and their suppliers to produce the best quality food at its freshest, paying particular attention to preparing and cooking whilst taking into account seasonal changes.
A range of special meals are available to meet most dietary, religious and ethical requirements. Please remember to order any special meals well in advance of traveling.
Air Astana takes great care in ensuring that all meals are appropriate to the time of day and, length of the flight. These will range from full course hot meal to light snacks.
On offer is also a wide selection of fine wines and alcoholic beverages.
Business Class
Air Astana’s business class is designed to make your journey a world class experience. All business class seats on its Boeing 767, Boeing 757 and Airbus 320-321 series are leather covered, with generous seat pitches, configured in a two-by-two seating arrangement. Appropriate light snacks to full course hot meals are served on all flights, together with a wide selection of fine wines and alcoholic beverages.
Boeing 767-300ER
The Boeing 767-300 has 30 ergonomically designed leather covered reclining seats with extending footrests and a spacious seat pitch of 55 and 56 inches.
Each seat is equipped with a personal video screen and an audio In-Flight Entertainment system, providing the latest movie releases, comedies, and documentaries in a choice of both Russian and English languages, together with eight channels of audio entertainment.
Boeing 757-200
There are 20 business class seats on the Boeing 757-200, each fitted with ergonomically designed leather covered reclining seats with extending footrests and a pitch of 50 inches.
The Boeing 757-200 is equipped with a Video and 8 channels of Audio In-Flight Entertainment system, offering movies, documentaries and comedies in both Russian & English language. Enjoy all of this on the main screen of business class.
Airbus A320-A321 series
The business class of the Airbus A320 is fitted with 16 comfortable seats with a spacious seat pitch of 39 inches that allows you to stretch out and relax in style. Similarly, the Airbus A321 has 28 comfortable business class seats with a spacious seat pitch of 38 inches.
You can enjoy feature and documentary films on the main screen. For your listening pleasure, choose from 8 specially programmed audio channels featuring a selection of different styles.
Economy class
Air Astana offers comfortable leather covered economy class seats with In Flight Entertainment on its Boeing 767; Boeing 757; Airbus 320-321 series. Appropriate light snacks to full course hot meals are served on all flights, together with a wide selection of fine wines and alcoholic beverages.

Airbus A320-A321 series
The Airbus A320 economy cabin holds 132 seats with a seat pitch of 31 inches and the Airbus A321 has 195 comfortable economy class seats with a spacious seat pitch of 31 and 33 inches.

Fokker 50
The Fokker 50 is used for domestic services within Kazakhstan, connecting regional centers with the major cities and providing feeder services to the international services of Air Astana.
This twin-turbo propeller powered aircraft has fitted leather covered seats in its quiet, comfortable two abreast 50 seat passenger cabin. A 30 inch pitch between seat rows is designed for passenger comfort.
